To me, seeing Built To Spill live is like seeing my best friend. Great memories, excitement and familiarity washes over me. I catch myself smiling through their entire set, singing along to every song.
It's an amazing feeling that I got to experience twice last week when Built To Spill played two nights at the Fonda theater here in Los Angeles.
Highlights included: their cover of Brian Eno's "Third Uncle," Brett Nelson and Doug playing "Car" and the encore of "Goin' Against Your Mind" (from the band's latest album, You in Reverse).
